First Olympiart 2019 in New Delhi India

International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 aim is to spend more time together, to encourage friendly discussions, to introduce you to the cultural and historical Monuments and bazaars of New Delhi. The exhibition of selected artworks and contest winners artworks will be held at Indira Gandhi National Centre of Arts, New Delhi.

More than 100 Foreign International renowned painted/Masters and 200 Indian Painters are coming to attend the festival. They will give free Master Demonstrations at IGNCA Auditorium. On the spot competitions will be conducted during the festival. Big Cash and Material Awards will be given to all the winners. International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 will invite all the school children for competition and to see and learn from Master Demonstrations. This is the first time in the history of India this kind of grand festival will be organizing. This festival is Host by IWS India in association of WSI. International Watercolor Society (IWS) is the world’s biggest Art Society and it has 107 branches in different countries.         

On 11th December International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 want to take our 80 Guest to Agra to show them TajMahal which is one of the 7 Wonders, Red Ford and FatehpurSikri. Few artist wants to paint the beauty of TajMahal and 3-5 paintings we will going to donate to the Government. On 12th evening International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 will return back to New Delhi.

After the grand success of our last two IWSIB Biennale, International Watercolor Society India (IWS INDIA) in association with Watercolour Society of India (WSI) is glad to announce the 1st OLYMPIART 2019 from 8th-11th December 2019. International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 are the world’s biggest Art Society with 110 branches in different countries. IWS is a non-profit organization which was established with an objective of promoting the world’s oldest and most deeply rooted painting technique; the art of Watercolor. It aims to encourage the artists all around the world to get connected and to promote and popularise watercolour medium in every country.

This festival will be one of its kind which has been designed to uplift the standards of this traditional medium of watercolour among the upcoming youth and will encourage them to work in this medium by introducing various awards in various categories. Festival will start with a Grand opening ceremony, free demonstrations of National & International artists, an exhibition of paintings from artists all over the world including 700 exhibits, Art talks/discussions, online contests, on the spot competitions of various mediums, Portrait sessions, plein air outings, tours, art supply vendors, cultural activities and performances and big Award ceremonies. The exhibition of selected artworks and contest winners artworks will be held at Indira Gandhi National Centre of Arts, New Delhi in which more than 100 Internationally renowned Painted/Masters and about 200 Indian Painters will participate.

Post exhibition in Delhi, International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 has proposed to take a delegation of about 70 painters from more than 30 countries to Agra for two days. The Agra visit is proposed on 11th and 12th Dec. 2019 wherein the delegation will be facilitated to visit the world heritage sites of the city. On the first day, the delegates will be visiting the monuments including Tajmahal and Red Fort which may be followed by a get together at a convenient place followed by dinner and cocktail. This opportunity can be used to spend more time together with the relevant stakeholders of the city including the city/ State administration and private sector to understand the cultural and historical details of the city. On the second day, they will be painting the beauty of TajMahal from MehtabBagh followed by visit to Beteshwar.  On 12th evening, the delegation will return to New Delhi.

International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 believe that it is a great opportunity and honour for our country to host the 1st OlympiART, 2019 in New Delhi and Watercolour Society of India is proud at it. We also believe that this event will not only help in promoting and popularising the world’s oldest and most deeply rooted painting technique; the art of watercolor in India but also bring the watercolor artists and art-lovers together at common platform for future learning and exchange. This initiative is aligns well with the AtithiDevoBhava and Ghumo India campaign of our country.

We are excited to visit the ancient city of Agra and paint the world heritage site of TajMahal. International Watercolor Society (IWS)’ Olympiart 2019 recognise that support of Uttar Pradesh Tourism department is utmost crucial for the success of this visit. 

These painters will in turn become an ambassador in promoting our culture, heritage and tourism across the world.
