Priyadarshi Gautam was practicing as a lawyer and then he found to practice advocacy for nature and he took paint, brush & canvas to make landscapes, but his path from court room to exhibition gallery was not so easy, he practiced day and night, made sketches and studied nature in very detail and today he is called “landscape painter Priyadarshi Gautam”, he earned his Batchelor in Law from Delhi University and practiced as a full time lawyer, but somewhere painter was inside him, the calling was so strong that he gave up everything just to continue painting and finally an artist won the case and Priyadarshi became impressionist painter. He mainly worked with oils on canvas. His paintings reflect his deep love and reverence for nature especially snow capped mountains. Since childhood he felt a special connection with Nature and Landscape Painting.
Priyadarshi recently exhibited his landscapes in Visual Art Gallery New Delhi in a group show, his landscape were appreciated among all the participated and visitors also had personal infraction with him and many visitors took selfie also.
Through his work Priyadarshi tries to bring environmental awareness among people whose love for material things has resulted in disregard of our natural environment. He often includes human element in his paintings, he feels humans have indispensable relation with nature, without nature’s offerings humanity can’t survive. It is high time mankind takes measures to prevent the abuse of Nature, inculcate in humans the importance of Nature and preserve it for the future generations. He tries to promote humanity’s connection to its natural environment so that people stop neglecting Nature in pursuit of narrow worldly pursuits.

landscapes of carefully layered color schemes, give sublime spectacle and wide breadth. Being an avid traveler of the Himalayan region, he provides interpretations by way of authentic contact with the Earth.
Priyadarshi has exhibited in many solo, group shows and has participated in National Exhibitions organized by All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society and Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi. He is recipient of various honors and awards like ‘Ratn-E-Hind’ Award for Excellence in Landscapes by Aura Planet (2018, 2019), JEDIKA Fine Arts Award for Excellence in Landscape Painting.
(2010). His works also have been on auction for the Environmental Charity via Christie’s, the most prestigious international purveyor of fine art (2010). His work is hailed by many media outlets like Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, The Hindu, The Statesman, Asian Age, Navbharat Times, Millennium Post etc. His paintings are part of many private collections abroad and in India, including H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa & special edition made on H.H. Dalai Lama’s birthday travel exhibition in Ladakh. He has also appeared many times on television and radio talks.
Priyadarshi is also a poet, his first Hindi compilation being Teen Samvednayein was published in 2010. He lives and works in Delhi.
