An Exhibition by Korean Artist Kim Ho Suk

National Gallery of Modern Art and Korean Cultural Centre organized  Mr Kim Ho suk’s solo exhibition “Hiding inside the light” at National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.

Mr Kim Ho-Suk is a master artist in Korean Ink Painting , born in rural southwestern Korea in 1957.

Kim Ho-Suk’s realistic portraits of historical figures as well as common Koreans are striking in their subtlety and sensitivity. Respecting age-old customs and traditions of his land, the 59-year-old artist employs time-honored painting techniques and materials such as handmade paper, and inks made of natural dyes.

Mr Kim Ho suk’s works have been collected and displayed in various museums around the world. He was selected as ‘Artist of the year’ by National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea in 1999.

This exhibition is being conducted by National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi in collaboration with Korean Culture Centre India under Cultural Exchange Programme between The Republic of India and the Republic of Korea.
